Road of Buddhism
Conscience + Self-Control- Selfish thoughts.
(Thought is as good as deed) - Minor selfish acts.
(Compassion separates us from the beasts.) - Injury to another person (deliberate or otherwise).
(Follow the golden rule) - Killing a mortal for sustenance.
(Death robs a person of the ability to fulfill their svadharma.) - Succumbing to Frenzy.
(You must overcome your monstrous urges and desires, not allow them to take you over.) - Killing a mortal for reasons other than survival.
(A person may not have achieved her svadharma, and preventing such is anathema.) - Failure to aid another's svadharma.
(The gods have set this as the purpose of the undead.) - Allowing one's sect affairs to precede one's dharma.
(One's allegiance should be to the gods, not one's companions.) - Becoming blood-bound.
(The supernatural desires of the blood bond shackle a Buddhist down to the threefold world.) - Embracing needlessly or out of personal desire.
(One must return others to the cycle, not extract them from it.)
Road of Confucius
Conscience + Self-Control- Neglecting your duty.
(Those who fail in their responsibilities often lose them.) - Failing to seek out new knowledge when provided an opportunity to do so.
- Treating an inferior as an equal.
(Everyone should know their place, including you ) - Abusing your family, whether mortal or cainite.
- Behaving shamefully before your peers.
(Honor and reputation are everything.) - Showing weakness in front your inferiors.
(A leader must be seen as strong.) - Impassioned violation (e.g. manslaughter, killing a vessel in Frenzy).
- Treating a superior with disrespect.
(Superiors must be given the respect they are due.) - Breaking your word to your superiors.
(Your word is your bond, if your word is worthless, then so are you ) - The most heinous and demented acts.
Road of Three Treasures
Conscience + Self-Control- Attempting to alter the natural world.
- Accumulating an excess of personal possessions.
- Allowing pride, wrath or greed to influence your actions.
- Flagrant disregard for a community's laws.
- Boasting and other shows of lack off humility.
- Allowing gross disruption of the natural world.
- Impassioned violation (e.g. manslaughter, killing a vessel in Frenzy).
- Accumulating an excess of wealth.
- Casual violation (e.g. wanton killing, feeding past satiation).
- Grossly upsetting the natural world (vandalism, arson, etc).
Road of Wu Wei
Conviction + Instinct- Thinking before acting.
- Gross disregard for a community's laws.
- Failing to ride the wave of a Frenzy.
- Acting in a overly cruel manner.
- Wanton destruction.
- Not making a decision within seven breaths.
- Killing without need.
- Refusing to kill when it is in your best interests.
- Becoming blood bound.
- Embracing needlessly or out of personal desire.
Road of Shenxia
